This is our DNA
Located in Germany’s high-tech region, often called the Inventors' Belt, we combine scientific depth with innovation and precision. Our work bridges research and real-world impact.
Our story
Our roots lie within the small but excellent Furtwangen University (HFU) situated in the Black Forest area in Germany. Our founders met at a the Data Science for Life Science research group of the Institute of Precision Medicine. Collaborating with manifold international scientists and research groups we have encountered numerous data challenges. Shared passion for data science in life sciences and extensive demand on bioinformatics solutions led us to assemble a platform that allowed us to widen our impact beyond academia. In the year 2025 we founded this platform and named it Liora Bioinformatics.
Prof. Matthias Kohl, Ph.D.
